The Weekend

We let the kids spend the weekend with the grandparents. My brother and sister-in-law kidnapped two of them and took them to their house for a grand ol' time of movies and fireworks. The Wonderful Wife played some softball on Friday night while I was in class.

We made it to church Sunday morning, and the Wife watched the babies in the nursery. She gets such a kick out of that.

We drove to the grandparent's house and picked up the kids in the afternoon. It was a pleasant drive out there without the kids to make too much noise. We were able to roll down the windows, and turn up the radio for the drive down. The kids fell slept through the drive home.

The daughter is participating in a school-wide spelling bee in the morning. They gave her a list of 150 words, and she only had to study 22 of them. She's a smart one. It ought to be interesting to see how she does tomorrow.

The Wonderful Wife is looking sleepy, and the cat is purring and snoring in my ear. I guess it's time for bed. G'night.
